My sons (16 & 19) are hard-working - the older one graduated highschool with honors, two years of college under his belt, and earned a free-ride to college, the younger one is beginning that road as of next fall. They are also devoted Christians who are leaders in their church groups and active in the denomination. They make good choices as to friends and their health, and don't exclude others. I'm continually amazed that I have such wonderful sons!

I take great pride in how happy and fun-loving my 19 month old son is. And he is so sweet and gentle with his 6 week old sister. He truly knows how to show his love and affection for others!

I take pride in the fact that I've never ******* and have 4 well behaved kids due to my creative alternative methods of disicpline. It is wonderful to watch my kids make their own good choices based on what I have taught them...and taught them without ever having to be physical with them. They are 13, 13, 10 and 8.

Good manners at the very least.

Amber - you have clearly done a very good job to raise such a lovely boy!!

I take pride in their health. I do my best to keep them healthy. That means eating fruits and vegatables, whole grain, meat, and dairy. I know what you mean! I remember in the summer when I was a kid, I couldn't go to sleep because of the kool aid, and we all had a red mouth. Now, my kids NEVER drink anything made of pure sugar. We have 100% juices, 1% milk, or water (my favorite too).

Another thing I take pride in is their behavior. I am always making sure they say please and thank you, excuse me, sorry, etc. I think it is one of the main jobs as parents. I never accepted any bad behavior.

My final thing is their appearance. I try to keep them looking clean, healthy, and presentable. It is another one of my pet peeves to see dirty kids.

Good question!

For me, I take pride in the fact that my boys are well mannered and genuinely sorry when they have done something wrong. They are by NO! means perfect so I am very thankful for my own Dad and how he raised me.
Another one is that my boys rarely get soda pop. When they are at their friends house they know they can have a one can but no more than that. That goes for candy as well, we still have Halloween candy and valentines candy from a few yrs back. Hm mm guess I should do some cleaning of the cupboards LOL
Duchess
EDIT: Amber that is just awsome!!!!

I am proud that I have been breastfeeding my son for 15 months. (A big accomplishment for me.)

I am proud that I have never let my son cry it out, or ******* him, etc.

I also never rely on things like the TV, exersaucer, or swing to "babysit" him. Instead, I will do things like sing to him, dance him around, or read him a book. Things that I hope will stimulate his mind more than getting stuck in front of a screen or a bunch of blinking lights.

I take pride in how helpful and kind my boys are. They are always sweet to everyone they meet and are very polite! They know the "Golden Rule" and stick to it for the most part ;)

I am so proud that my daughter gave up her pacifier all on her own! She was about seven months and one day was just done with them. It's disturbing to see three year olds walking around with a binkie.
