nobuddygurl asked: I already have America and how parents spoil their children and do not know how to discipline.
and I have China and how parents feel it is their “duty” to beat their children when they do something wrong. and how no one will call the police when they hear a child being punished severely.
I need to know a country or countries that lack good parenting skills, and what they are exactly. thank you so much
best answer will be chosen.
I’m sure that bad parenting is caused by”individuals” but i am talking about the countries with the most stastistics of bad parenting.

Agent99 asked: I have done a lot of stupid things when I was young (drink, smoke pot, *** before marriage). I am not proud of this, but it is the truth and I do regret it.
My daughter looks up to me and I wonder what I should tell her when she is a teenager? Do I tell her “I NEVER did that stuff and you shouldn’t either”? (kind of like a role model approach) or should I be honest and say, “I made a lot of mistakes and I don’t want you do do the same” I don’t want to risk her using it against me later saying “well you did it when you were young so I will too!”
Anyone have a similar situation?

Of all the things people ask about on here… (how to get kids to listen, sleep in their own beds, use a sippy cup) what annoys you most about other parents?

My 4yr old is so defiant and nothing works, I’d like to read a good parenting book, anyone have any good ideas?
I understand that 4 is a rebellious age, but my daughter is now refusing to sit in time out.

Adoptive parents (and children) have unique needs that other parents don’t have. Also, some people who would be interested in the catagory may be thinking about adopting kids or be in the process of adopting (often a long, stressful, and expensive process I might add)
It is appropriate to identify a child as adopted if the fact that the child is adopted is relevant to the subject matter being discussed.

Blowininthewind asked:
My 16 year old has never had a parenting plan as we were divorced before he was born. The child support office said I will have to establish a parenting plan to address his post high school support issues. He has plans to attend college and will graduate from HS in 2011. Does anyone know if I have to hire a lawyer for this, as I don’t have much money. Anyone have any information on this?

Frustrated Mom asked:
Daughter is 9 and on a team. Father has alternating weekend parenting time. He refuses to take child to practices during his time. The child is going to be kicked off the team because you can’t do team sports on alternating weekends.
